It's shamefull waste, and no one sees a way out...

I see it myself nearly every day. I go over to my local Circle K gas station pretty much every day at or near the same time - between four and five in  the afternoon. Towards the end of their shifts, one of the employees will throw out all of the leftover prepared breakfast sandwiches and meals - some times as many as two dozen at a pop. Same happens around midnight for all of the other prepared/cooked foods in the cases. They get dumped.
While it may seem wasteful, Circle K and Buc-ee’s aren’t the only chains to toss its scraps. Places like Dunkin’ or McDonald’s are not able to donate any or all leftovers to food banks, as it likely violates food safety policies. According to the FDA, hot foods must be kept at or above 135 degrees Fahrenheit. Anything below that threshold could have bacterial growth and may be unsafe to eat.
Plus, improper packaging could also contaminate wrapped foods, much of what Buc-ee’s sells. So while it seems wasteful, the convenience store hub likely is unable to donate. There's the dilemna. People create laws that try to protect people, but then inadvertantly cause unforeseeable consequences like this. The outlets can't give it away for fear of being sued, and the food banks can't take anything that doesn't come in a sealed container. It's a true CATCH-22 that ends up seeing millions of pounds of perfectl good food being wasted every year. Sad but true...

What a magnificent city Paris must still be in spite of themselves letting in any and every third-world shithole refugee who are all hell-bent on completely fucking that entire country up and turning it in to the shithole country they ran away from - but that's another story for another day.
Anyway, this is a Puppet and Marionette store where everything is still hand made.
That's all they sell. Puppets. Handmade puupets.

And, on a totally related subject, Philadelphia's 'Salute to

Seattle's uber-leftie socialist idiot Mayor Katie Wilson is facing criticism from community leaders and business owners in the city's Chinatown-International District (CID) ahead of the USA vs. Belgium FIFA World Cup match.
Residents and local advocates say ongoing crime, homelessness and open-air drug activity have discouraged visitors from entering the neighborhood, leaving many businesses without the expected economic boost from the tournament. Protesters are calling on the city to improve public safety and revitalize the district.

British troops were constantly under attack - as in this scene on the Falls Road in Belfast back in 1976 during what they called 'The Troubles'. Imagine how hardened that kid's will and personality were that he could stand there so non-chalantly in the midst of it all. My brother's house is one short block off the Falls Road. Now, thankfully, it's a much-improved area of town.

A pregnant special-education teacher, Lauren Vitale, was violently kicked in the stomach by a student and then fired after being blamed for the incident.
Vitale, 31, who was six months pregnant at the time of the attack in January, asserts that the student had a known history of violence and had been placed in her classroom at Staten Island’s PS 84 without any advance warning.

Here's another one of Clay Bennett's work that I don't quite get, but it got me thinking about the game of soccer itself instead of politics, so here we are. Could these players be any more of a friggin' bad-actor crybaby sissies when they fall down and go boom? It's almost embarassing to watch. I say 'almost' because, actually, I couldn't almost actually ever give a fuck about soccer. Juss' sayin'...

Genesius Times is kinda like a poor-man's Babylon Bee, if ya catch my drift. It's actually slightly sophomoric at times but still pretty funny/silly, with stories like this. Google 'em if you haven't seen it.
