It never rains in California, but it sure as shit rains like crazy in NYC...

The bustling streets of Soho turned into an underwater nightmare Saturday as heavy rain battered the Big Apple causing severe flooding across the city. Shocking video obtained by The Post shows the usually busy intersection of West Broadway and Grand Street in Soho inundated with heavy flood waters.

Several cars, including ambitious taxi drivers, can be seen cautiously driving through the flooded streets trying to make their way out of the underwater mess - while pedestrians were trapped with some using garbage bags as protection against the rising water.
How does shit like this happen? It's almost impossible to believe that the storm drains in a major city like New York are insufficient to handle the flow, but it's happening more and more everywhere almost daily. Must be all those cigarette butts people throw in the sewers clogging them up, huh?

  2. NYC has or had some of the most incredible engineering in regards to pumping water in and sewage out. Massive pumps, tunnels and pipes all done way back when.
