I guess AOC can't afford an I-Phone, so...

AOC has condemned Apple's recent price increases of $200 on computers and tablets, which the company attributed to a memory chip shortage. Speaking to Fox News, she said, "We need to break up a lot of these companies that are far, far too big, and we need to be instituting consumer protections for people." The price hikes on Macs and iPads ranged from 15% to 25%.  ·
Apple's outgoing CEO Tim Cook stated that these price increases are unavoidable due to what has been characterized as a “RAM-ageddon” crisis, largely stemming from the surge in demand for memory chips driven by the expansion of data centers for artificial intelligence. Analysis suggests that even after the situation resolves, the new pricing may become the norm, influenced by increased demand on the supply chain.  ·
Ocasio-Cortez criticized large tech firms for their unchecked power and recent massive layoffs, coupled with the push for AI technologies, which she argues threaten jobs. She highlighted that lawmakers did not foresee the AI boom when creating the Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors (CHIPS) Act, which aimed to bolster domestic semiconductor manufacturing. Ocasio-Cortez has collaborated with Senator Bernie Sanders to propose a moratorium on new AI data centers.
I really can't add anything to that, can you?
