The US SUN is a Brit tabloid that's somewhere between the New York Post and National Enquirer. I get a kick out of how they cover stories - and what they cover is just as much fun. Case in point? Their reporting of the insane fighting going on inside a department store in France with so many miscreants slugging it out to get their mitts on portable air conditioners.
According to them, huge crowds of frantic Lidl customers piled into the discount supermarket after forcing open the doors and quickly got their elbows out as they made a beeline for the fans. Lidl promised to stock its shelves with 200,000 fans and aircon units on Thursday as Europe braces for more heat this weekend.
Shocking footage filmed inside the store shows fists flying as customers try to get their hands on the limited supply of cooling devices. Some had been queuing outside for hours in preparation for a dash to the shelves. The hot and bothered shoppers were also filmed stampeding through the front door before stripping the shelves in seconds. Their full coverage with video is here.

What I see from France is the USUAL SUSPECTS as always.
ReplyDeleteBased on that image the violence is coming from "the usual suspects....
ReplyDeleteas Scott Adams said, just get the hell away from them. yeah. grew up in Philly watch it change from a nice city to a shithole
ReplyDeleteinside of 30 years. and it only gotten worse. left there in 74-(army). came back in 1990. BIG difference ! left again after my parents passed on. have no plans to ever go there again. the place they zombie land, it used to be one of the best shopping area on the east coast. no shit. you could find anything there. hundreds of small shop and stores making and selling just about anything you may want/need. now they don't make anything there. well, maybe crack.
there is no sense in importing more assholes unless you want to destroy your home.
The best bit is Lidl don't sell AC as you know it. Just fans and small room cooling units that the US would laugh at.
