A restaurant has been forced to close a month after it opened following “public attacks”. The toast-centric healthy chain Toastique opened in Kansas City, Kansas, last month, but a series of negative online reviews prompted the owner to close abruptly.
Franchise owner Jonathan Willis told a local outlet this week that diners had taken issue because he did not allow his employees to receive tips. Willis said this was because his employees were already earning above minimum wage, despite lawmakers working to increase the wages.
Who the fuck is this guy to say somebody can't tip somebody? This place looks like something straight out of bad Woody Allen movie. They're all franchises, and they feature the kind of food they make fun of in sitcoms. Shit like this:

A new tiny home village in Sacramento, California, has secured $32 million from the state’s Project Homekey+ funding, according to a Thursday press release from the office of Governor Gavin Newsom. The development, which will occupy a vacant lot at the corner of Rio Linda Boulevard and Las Palmas Avenue, will include 100 tiny homes for seniors and homeless veterans age 55 or older.
In addition to the state funding, the project received about $3 million from the city through the state’s Homeless Housing and Prevention grant, according to developer Urban Capital, LLC. The development will require $20.7 million in capital costs to be built, with each unit running about $207,000, according to Urban Capital, LLC’s managing partner, John Vignocchi. The per-unit cost still falls lower than the $600,000 price tag on most new income-restricted affordable housing in Sacramento, according to The Bee.
