You are what you eat - or something like that...

Do you have any idea how big some of these 'brand names'
really are? You'd be surprised...

Take this one, for instance. Did you know that Tyson Foods is one of the biggest companies in the entire world? In fact, it is responsible for producing around a fifth of all the beef, pork, and chicken that is eaten every day across the U.S.
So, it's hardly surprising that you'll find its meat in Aldi's or any other supermarket's aisles.
We know for sure that, for example, Tyson Foods was producing Kirkwood Buffalo and Honey BBQ Crispy Chicken Strips for Aldi. Of course, we know this because it recalled them. This time, it was due to concerns that some of the strips might have been contaminated with metal.
To be honest, Tyson Foods is everywhere. The meat giant also sells products under its own name, and it also owns several other brands, including Jimmy Dean, Hillshire Farm, Ball Park, and State Fair.
Tyson Foods produces chicken, beef, pork, and prepared foods for retail grocery stores, national fast-food chains (including McDonald's - they make the Chicken McNuggets), restaurants, schools, hospitals, and military bases.
As a major multinational, they supply branded products  while also acting as a key supplier for institutional foodservice and international customersBasically, if you're a meat-eater, there's a good chance you're eating Tyson Foods' products on a regular basis.

Kamala Harris is keeping her distance from California’s crowded governor’s race, and that silence is turning heads in Democratic circles. The former vice president rolled out a broad slate of endorsements for other races, but left the governor’s contest untouched, fueling speculation about whether she is staying above the fray or simply waiting for the right moment to jump back in.
The political backdrop is getting extra attention now that Harris and Doug Emhoff reportedly purchased an $8.15 million home in Malibu’s Point Dume neighborhood earlier this year. The 4,000-square-foot, four-bedroom, six-bathroom property was built in 1979 and comes with ocean views, a heated pool, spa, and fire pit, giving the couple a secluded coastal retreat far from the rough-and-tumble of Sacramento politics.

Try as I might, I haven't been able to discover where these stylized social statements originate. Normally presented in a vertical format, I edit them to be horizontal just for space' sake for here on the blog. You guys have any idea where they come from? They're kinda weird - but also mostle on point. It's a 'Karen' kinda thing, don'tcha think?

Reported By: Politico / May 5, 2026 -  Governor Ron DeSantis has officially signed a highly contentious, GOP-friendly congressional redistricting map into law, immediately triggering a fierce legal battle over the state's political boundaries. Within hours of the governor's signature, voting rights groups and Democratic organizations filed a lawsuit, setting the stage for a massive courtroom showdown over the new electoral lines ahead of the upcoming elections.
The newly enacted map aggressively reshapes the state's congressional districts, heavily favoring Republican candidates and dismantling districts previously held by Democrats. The lawsuit argues that the new boundaries are an illegal gerrymander that directly violates the state constitution's fair districting standards.
The governor vetoed the legislature's initial proposals, insisting on his own map design and using his executive authority to force the issue through a special session. This legal fight could have major national implications, as the redrawn map is expected to significantly impact the balance of power in Washington.

Molly Horn, chief mixologist and spirits educator at Total Wine & More, answers the pressing issue of the lifespan of those bottles sitting in your liquor cupboard. "There is a difference between a spirit-based product going bad, experiencing flavor fallout, and having a limited shelf life with a pre-opening expiration date," she says. "The most common challenges are with products that have perishable ingredients such as cream liqueurs, which should be kept in the fridge after opening and are best within six months of opening."
