President Donald Trump said Friday that he was eager to deliver his first public speech since he was hustled from a hotel stage Saturday, after an attempted shooter breached the perimeter of the White House correspondents’ dinner. And the president picked a familiar stop for his return address: The Villages, a retirement community in Florida and a longtime Republican stronghold.
“They want me to be in a secure place. I said, ‘What’s more secure than The Villages?’” Trump said to applause, as he kicked off a 94-minute event that featured several guests - and was peppered with Trump’s profane jokes and comments, including about the president’s microphone setup.
He spoke 'off-the-cuff' for an hour and a half, playing the room perfectly. It was fascinating to watch. And, juss' so ya know, I ain't never heard a President use the word 'bullshit' in a speech, so there was that, too...

Take a look at that picture and note the variety of things being 'protested' by these jackwagons. Thousands of people with nothing better to do joined what they called an 'economic blackout' for International Workers’ Day (what most people call 'Commie Day'), as part of 3,500 “May Day Strong” events across the country. Organizers called for “no school, no work, no shopping”, with walkouts, marches, block parties and demonstrations held outside of institutions such as the New York Stock Exchange by people who didn't have a job to go to in the first place.
On Friday afternoon in Manhattan, protesters from the youth-led Sunrise Movement (a tree-hugger group with a bunch of moron kids supposedly running the show - think 100 or more Greta's) chained themselves to the front of the stock exchange while more sat blocking the exits to the property. They were joined by about 100 protesters before being arrested and removed about an hour later. A small crowd remained, playing music and chanting: “Tax the rich!”
Sunrise protesters also led demonstrations in other cities that ended in arrests. In Portland, they occupied a Hilton hotel lobby where Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials were allegedly staying, and in Minneapolis, six Sunrise protesters were arrested for blocking a bridge.

President Donald Trump on Friday approved the permits for Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina to manage their own red snapper seasons.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) reacted to the move on X, saying that Florida’s season would begin on May 22.

That whole thing is AI. It's an ad for a product that doesn't exist yet. It's kinda scary how good this shit can be, adding nuanced levels and shading and shit. There's a new movie coming out pretty soon that stars - among others - Val Kilmer. Problem is, he's dead. Not a problem - they just AI his shit in to the flick. I don't know whether to be impressed or scared of this shit.

Love bug season in the southeastern U.S. occurs twice yearly, with major surges from late April to May and again in August to September. These insects peak for about four weeks during each cycle, causing nuisance swarms along highways, as they are attracted to heat, exhaust fumes, and light-colored surfaces.
Key Facts & TipsDamage:
Their acidic remains can etch car paint and damage clear coats if not washed off within a few days. They can clog radiator screens, causing engines to overheat.Solutions: Use car wax to protect paint, and wash bugs off with soap and water. They are harmless (do not bite or sting) and are most active in daylight hours.

"I'm tellin' ya - it's the same dame". The Lady Eve is one of my favorite movie, and I have always thought that Barbara Stanwick was a major babe. My Babs just can't see, and we go back and forth on thew subject every time we see her in something. I don't think Preston Sturgess made a single bad movie. Think 'The Great McGinty' with Brian Dunleavy - another classic.
