In a truly whacky broadcast on the state-run Ofogh channel, host Hossein Hosseini fired an AK-47 rifle inside the studio after receiving weapons training from a masked member of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
“I’ll aim at that,” he said as he pointed the rifle toward a United Arab Emirates flag displayed behind the anchor desk before pulling the trigger, according to South Korea’s Chosun Ilbo. He was then seen firing a second shot into the studio ceiling.
The bizarre segment aired as Tehran reportedly began offering civilians weapons instruction through public “gun kiosks” and mosque-based training sessions across several cities.

Something tells me they won't really want to arm the general public, given how some of those public protests have gone.
ReplyDeleteYou would be shocked to learn that apparently if a foreign country bombs yours people tend to rally around their leadership. Specially if the aggressor hits civilian targets that make life for regular people harder. Apparently if you bomb schools filled with children, bridges, power stations, desalinization plants.
Delete6 months ago people were revolting. Today they are all aligned with the regime.
"the state-run Ofogh channel"
ReplyDeleteAre you sure about the spelling of the name?
I wish our news media would promote the 2nd Amendment once in awhile.
ReplyDelete"...mosque-based training sessions..."
ReplyDeleteGuess the ordinary Persian-in-the-street is just SOL.
Looks like that's the first time Hosseini has ever held/fired an AK.
