I really do like this guy, but damn - that ego. Yikes...

Donald Trump’s name may already dominate politics, but some of his allies now reportedly want his face printed into American money. Treasury Department officials appointed under Trump have pushed for a new $250 bill featuring the president’s portrait to mark America’s 250th anniversary, according to reporting cited by The Independent and The Washington Post. A mock-up obtained by the Post reportedly shows Trump centered on the note with the words “250 AMERICA.”
The idea tracks with a design Rep. Andy Barr shared earlier this year while posing with U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach. The Independent reported that Beach has “repeatedly urged staff” at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing to move forward with the proposal. British artist Iain Alexander, who designed the version Barr displayed, told the Post that Trump “absolutely loved it.”
However, the plan has a major legal wall in front of it. Federal law says, “Only the portrait of a deceased individual may appear on United States currency and securities.” That rule is listed under 31 U.S.C. § 5114, meaning a living president cannot simply be placed on paper money without Congress changing the law.

    1. So far Abraham Lincoln is the only U.S. president whose likeness appeared on circulating paper currency.
While he was still alive his picture was on the 1861 $10 demand note.
Subsequently Congress passed a law in 1866 banning the portraits of living people on any U.S. securities.

  3. Backed by and on-demand exchangeable for gold/ silver? 1000% Tied to the auditing of Ft. Knox and the Federal Reserve and the ABOLITION of the Federal Reserve? 10000%. Just another chronically devaluing Federal Reserve Note? Why bother wasting the time to just boost his ego. Put him on the $3 bill if the RIGHT THING isn't going to be done.

    1. The real question is how much are you willing to pay to troll the libs?

      We have real problems.
Out of control inflation, gas prices have gone up 50% in 3 months, we are involved in a new middle east quagmire, our national debt has exploded, we now pay more to service the debt than in defense, Trump's approval is in the toilet, chances are we will lose the house and may even lose control of the senate and a very long list of other problems.

Trump and republicans don't seem to have time to solve any of the real problems I just listed but they have time to do new $250 bills, put Trumps face on passports, add his name to the Kennedy Center, a billion dollar ballroom, paint the reflecting pool, hang Trump's face from every DC building they can get their hands on.

Everything that Trump is actually doing (ball room, passports, reflecting pool, etc) has NO benefit for you and I but we all pay for everything he is not doing in the form of inflation, higher prices and taxes and fewer services.

So the bottom line is. Owning the libs feels good and is fun, but how much are you willing to pay for that fun.
I drive a diesel F250 for work. At current diesel prices it will cost me $5000 MORE to drive the truck this year than it cost me last year. For me, owning the libs is costing me $5000 in gas and God knows how much more in groceries, healthcare, etc.

Trust me I can't afford $5,000 to own the libs. If things continue the way they are trending I will have to fire one of the guys in my crew. For him, owning the libs will cost him his job. If he looses his job he will not be able to buy many things he buys on a weekly basis. So for many businesses owning the libs will cost them sales from the guy I will have to let go.

This lib owning is getting too expensive for me.
