First-person body-cam footage captured the moment a plane smashed through a paraglider’s canopy midair, sending a woman spiraling through the sky screaming before she miraculously landed safely on the ground.
The paraglider, a 44-year-old woman named Sabrina, was live-streaming footage of her flying near the scenic Schmittenhöhe mountain in northern Austria Saturday afternoon when a small sightseeing plane suddenly plows right through her rig - just feet above her head.
She screams as she starts to spin out of control, desperately trying to deploy her emergency parachute, the footage shows. The canopy (hang-glider chute) appears to have been split in half after it was struck. She was somehow able to get untangled and deploy the emergency chute as she plummeted towards Earth.
Believe it or not, she lived to live-stream her crash to earth, screaming all the way down.
