And just like that - poof - they were gone...

It seems like we're seeing shots like this on a weekly basis - in this case it was yesterday in the Pacific - and ya think to yourself why do these guys still do this shit? Well, the simple answer is that the narco-terrorist dudes kidnap some poor shlub's wife or girlfriend or kids and threaten to kill them if the guy doesn't pilot the boat. Seems like it's somebody's death toll no matter what.
Sad state of affairs, but I guess it proves that there is so much friggin' money in the drug business, they'll go to extremes to peddle the shit.

This question was posed by a sitting US Senator.

It's wrong to blame presidents for pandemics. Covid was not Trump's fault, Ebola was not Obama's fault.
SARS was not Bush's fault, and only a handful of Herpes cases
were Bill Clinton's fault.

I don't know about every day, but I'll try when I can.

The House just passed the Jeremy and Angel Seay and Sergeant Brandon Mendoza Protect Our Communities from DUIs Act by a 246-160 vote.
Read the roll call.
37 Democrats joined the GOP - mostly moderate freshmen and at-risk frontline members like Jared Golden, Tom Suozzi, Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, and intelligence-committee ranking member Jim Himes.
The Democratic leadership voted no. The whole leadership team voted no. The entire progressive caucus voted no.
The bill is named after Jeremy and Angel Seay, a couple from Enterprise, Alabama, k!lled by an illegal alien drunk driver. The framework is simple. If you are in the country illegally and you get convicted of driving drunk on an American road, your visa status disappears and you are deported. That is the law.

So, I'll ask again because I still can't figure out why it is that these Black guys in Congress can have a 'caucus' that specifically excludes white people, and yet they are somehow not racists? Can anyone explain that to me? Anyone?

After retiring in the Atlanta area, Clarenton “Nicky” Crawford could have spent his days slowing down - instead, he turned compassion into wheels. Through his nonprofit Flowing With Blessings, he began bringing mobile showers to people experiencing homelessness, offering something many of us take for granted: a clean body, a private bathroom, a fresh start, and the simple dignity of being treated like a person. Then the mission grew. Crawford bought an old school bus and, with help from Georgia Tech industrial design students, transformed it into a mobile laundry bus with washers and dryers, so people could not only shower but leave with clean clothes too. Parked near Grady Memorial Hospital, the bus and shower trailer became more than a service - they became a reminder that dignity can be practical, portable, and deeply human. One shower, one clean shirt, one load of laundry at a time, Crawford is helping people feel seen again.

If I was his Manager, I'd suspend him for ten games and fine him at least five grand for that showboat bullshit. This is exactly what is killing my interest in any sports. That bullshit celebration thing makes no sense to me. You're a ptcher? It's your job to get people out. Just do your job. A wide receiver who catches a touchdown. Good - that's your job. Save the celebration shit. Does the Amazon guy do a fuckin' dance when he puts a package on your front stoop? Well, maybe, but that's my point. Do your job and be humble. Period...

  1. The mobile shower/laundry a great thing.

Some homeless do want to get out of that situation, clean clothes and a shower go a long way towards folks taking them seriously/perhaps hiring them etc.

Those that are mentally ill/addicted etc. while perhaps not a priority now if they can get it together again a path that helps lead to a better life.

    1. Imagine cleaning that bus out and scrubbing that shower down at the end of the day, every day .
It's probably infested with head lice, crotch crickets and other parasites.

  2. Not only does the Congressional Black Caucus exclude whites, it also excludes black republicans.

  3. There are many things that are wrong with the Protect Our Communities from DUIs Act. This is what is called a messaging bill. Designed to rally your supporters and divide your opponents but with little or no chance of becoming a law.

For one if someone is in the country illegally by definition they have NO visa status that can be stripped. But the bigger problem is that it creates different penalties for the same crime solely based on the class of person committing the crime.

There are other criteria that can make the penalty for a crime tougher (prior criminal record, use of a weapon, crimes against children, etc). This bill is a step back to the time when we penalized "certain people" in a much harder way for the same crime.

The bill will never make it through the Senate. It doesn't have to, it already served its purpose (messaging). You, as a republican, are talking about it in positive terms while democrats are divided about it...

The sad part is that congress does this kind of BS instead of doing ANYTHING about the ongoing war, gas prices, interest rates, healthcare, ballooning deficits, Epstein files, etc, etc, etc.

  4. If what you say about the people of these drug running boats is true then what we are doing is worse!

We are killing innocent people that are being blackmailed to jump on those boats. Seems like a smarter approach would be to capture the boat, interrogate the people and go after the true criminals. Not to mention that it would also be a lot cheaper.

  5. Regarding showboating in sports - I like what Jim Brown said about what to do after scoring a touchdown : " Act like you've been there before ."

  6. And then the Protect Our Communities Act will move to the Senate, where Thune and the RINOs will take a dump on it.

  7. Try being an illegal in any other country on earth. Yes it's a crime and in some places a death sentence. America has been way too lenient for way too long and it shows everyday in death and rape of innocents.

  8. Democrats hate Americans. It's that simple.
