This is the Overseas Highway in the Florida Keys. This iconic road trip route connects the Florida Keys archipelago over 113 miles of bridges and islands.The road travels over 42 bridges, including the famous Seven Mile Bridge.
The highway runs from Key Largo down to Key West, offering scenic ocean views on both sides. Start to finish, the trip can take as long as 4 hours or more if you don't stop anywhere but at traffic lights and for an occassional alligator.
In my own experience, it once took me three days to get to Key West,
but that's a story for yet another day...
