Early voting in California is showing a surprising surge in Republican participation, with more than 900,000 ballots already returned ahead of the June 2 primary. GOP turnout is significantly higher than expected in the deep-blue state, raising hopes among Republicans that they could flip key races - including a real shot at the governor’s mansion. Steve Hilton, the Trump-endorsed candidate for governor, is seeing strong early support as frustration with Gavin Newsom’s policies continues to build.
Democrats are reportedly scrambling, with Newsom himself admitting he has a secret “break the glass” plan to try to block Republicans from advancing in the top-two primary.
This early Republican surge comes as California continues to suffer from high taxes, crime, homelessness, and businesses fleeing the state - issues many voters are clearly ready to punish Democrats over.
This is a big sign that even in California, Americans are waking up. Years of one-party Democrat rule have turned the Golden State into a cautionary tale of what happens when progressive policies go unchecked. If Republicans can keep this momentum, it could be a historic night in June.
What do y’all think? Is California finally turning the corner and rejecting the Democrat disaster, or is this just a temporary blip? Sound off in the comments. I look forward to seeing your opinions...

Yeah, the ""secret plan" is they don't count votes they don't like.
ReplyDeleteGive the Dems time since they haven't had a chance to find all those lost ballots yet.
ReplyDeleteMy personal preference; same day voting. Yeah, go ahead and cry me a river about disenfranchising voters. We used to have same day voting with all of the ballots counted by midnight. Why can't we do it again?
ReplyDeleteThe only reason that we have a stretched out voting period, is to allow the demoncrats to find out how many votes to manufacture.
Absolutely correct on that one. On anything controversial, they'll count for days past the election until they get the results the Dem majority wanted.
DeleteKnow what I think. It will take years to undo the mess the Demorats have made and then whoever wins will have to fight the entrenched bureaucracy and various committees, planning and otherwise that won't take kindly to anyone trying to take away their power. A mess for years and years. Thats what I think.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Reporting that Republican votes up 38% over 2020 !!
ReplyDeleteImagine how much higher it would be if they hadn't put half the republican ballots through the shredder !
Nothing important will change in Kali. The left has too firm a hold on the political machine to ever be removed from power. Many of the "republican" candidates are RINOs....democrats pretending to be GOP. It's how the left wins districts they otherwise can't win...they run their people as turncoats.
ReplyDeleteNo. California is populated by very stupid people. They have had years to right the ship and have refused to do so. I really don't think it will be any different this time around. To top it off, the dems will cheat, cheat, cheat, until they have the results they desire. Newsome said the not so quiet part out loud, you don't even need to read between the lines. He pretty much said they will cheat to ensure there isn't a run-off between two Republicans. Once they have that handled, they will do whatever it takes to keep the Republican out of the governor's mansion by doing more of the same. There is a process they will initiate if the vote goes the "wrong" way.
