Pope Leo XIV has hit back at Donald Trump after the president’s savage social media tirade, in which he branded the American pontiff “weak” and “terrible”. Trump earlier blasted Leo for being “weak on crime” and “terrible for foreign policy” – before sharing a bizarre AI image depicting himself as Jesus.
Thing is, why is he even paying attention to shit like that? It's not like he's a devout Catholic or anything. The man just cannot take any form of disparagement, and that - at times - gets in his way. Don't get me wrong here. Policy wise the guy's hitting home runs all over the place. The scandal surrounding Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) is rapidly ballooning and could jolt a surge of expulsion votes for at least three of his House colleagues as soon as the chamber returns from recess next week.
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) announced plans to force a vote next week to expel Swalwell, who is facing allegations of sexual assault and sexual harassment, which he denies, but he has dropped out of the race for California Governor because of the accusations.
