Hillary Clinton criticized President Trump on Monday during an appearance on MS NOW’s “Morning Joe,” branding his recent social media posts as “unhinged” and calling for accountability. Clinton noted that Trump had claimed a “whole civilization will die” if Iran did not comply with his demands, in addition to sharing a controversial AI-generated image of himself as Jesus, which has since been deleted from his account.
She emphasized the serious implications of such statements from an American president, stating, “Words, especially from an American president, have real consequences.”
· Clinton underscored the need for American democracy and the rule of law to guide Trump’s conduct, asserting, “The standard should be American democracy, our institutions, the rule of law.” Following Trump's remarks regarding Iran, several Democratic lawmakers called for impeachment, as well as invocation of the 25th Amendment. She cautioned that the norms of governance have been eroded under Trump’s leadership.
