Miss Puerto Rico may not be a 'miss' after all. WTF is wrong with that picture?

Gabriel Rodríguez Velázquez - representing the town of Cidra - is the second male to compete for the crown in Miss Universe Puerto Rico. Notably, Rodríguez Velázquez’s participation in Miss Universe Puerto Rico makes for the second transgender model to compete for the crown - after Daniela Arroyo González, who became the first trans contestant in 2023.

“Transgender man competing to become Miss Universe Puerto Rico,” one X user wrote, sharing a promotional video. “Gabriel Rodríguez Velázquez, who identifies as a woman, is hoping to win the women’s beauty pageant for 2026 after previously qualifying to compete in 2023.”

“ My mom named me Gabriel after the angel Gabriel .” Gabriel Rodriguez Velazquez , better known as La Rostra , says she never changed her name. Well, don't look now, pal but somebody shoulda added more than a vowel to you. 

 

I wonder what they may have removed. You really have to wonder how valid a 'Miss Anything' title is if the winner may actually musta usta been a guy. Juss' sayin'. And don't give me shit over the 'musta usta' - you know it's legit...
