You get paid agitators who call themsmelves 'protestors assaulting Police Officers in plain sight in the middle of a City-owned park,. Two of the Officers had to be treated fdor facial injuries after the event, to which Mayor Damnommi described the incident as “a snowball fight that got out of hand,” and said he did not believe it warranted criminal charges based on what he saw. He urged New Yorkers to respect officers who had worked through the blizzard and joked that if anyone should catch a snowball, it should be him.
The cops were not in the mood - the Police Benevolent Association declared the mayor’s response a “complete failure of leadership.”
You get that same Mayor describing the protest at Gracie Mansion as a group of 'White Supremacists' protesting a Muslim Mayor. In the actual protest there were maybe 20 people. The other 'counter-protest' was by a group of Muslim fundamentals who attacked the first group, screaming 'Allah Akbar'(God is good) while hurling homemade IED bombs at the first group. Mandami did not address that group at all.
His Police Commissioner did, and she may get herself fired for describing the event as an 'ISIS inspired attack. I kid you not. New York City is fucked with this guy in charge.
