Last week, Kamala Harris abruptly canceled the remainder of her book tour - a decision that came on the heels of significant criticism about the taxpayer-funded security detail protecting her during the events. The former VP's choice to back out follows an uproar from concerned citizens who question the appropriateness of using public funds for her personal promotional activities.
Despite her earlier commitments, Kamala Harris decided to cut her tour short, leaving many to wonder about the implications of her decision. Critics have labeled this episode as a glaring example of political elitism, where taxpayer money is seemingly funneled into providing security for a book tour. Others think she's cancelled the tour because the book just isn't selling. Sounds about right to me.

Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian tore into Congress for forcing airport security agents to work without pay, calling the situation “inexcusable” and accusing lawmakers of using frontline workers as “political chips” while a partial government shutdown drags into its fifth week.
“It’s inexcusable that our security agents, our frontline agents, that are essential to what we do, are not being paid, and it’s ridiculous to see them being used as political chips,” Bastian told CNBC on Tuesday. “We’re outraged.”

At the beginning of the 1991 Gulf War, Iraq sent 142 military and civilian aircraft to Iran for protection from coalition airstrikes. What was meant to be temporary safekeeping soon became permanent possession.
Tehran later claimed the planes as part of the war reparations it believed Baghdad owed for the eight-year Iran–Iraq War, denying any binding agreement to return them. Most of the aircraft were left unused on airfields, deteriorating under harsh conditions, and were never returned to Iraq.
Decades later, some of these aircraft are now actively serving in the ongoing 2026 conflict. During this war, two Su-24s were shot down by Qatar, along with several civilian planes being destroyed.

I really like this house - this style of architecture. I could live happily in that kinda house for the rest of my days if - and only if - my nearest neighbor was at least a mile away. This kinda house is definitely not suited for an urban environment, and if it was in the city somewhere, I wouldn't wanna live anywhere near it - or the guy who owned it. You get my gist on this, right?

What does your pantry look like? This is just a small section of ours - what I laughingly (or lovingly) call the 'starch shelf'. As you might have been able to surmise, I have a definite preference in what pasggettis and macaronies we eat.
