ReplyDeleteThe Filipinos celebrated when the US kicked the Spanish Colonialists out at the end of the 19th century. But then, when they wanted FREEDOM, the US responded by slaughtering hundreds of thousands. The last time the US "intervened" in Iranian government politics, their democratically-elected PM was ousted in a CIA COUP and the brutal puppet SHAH was put on the throne. Then the US and CIA financed and trained his brutal secret police (the Savak) and he murdered, tortured, and otherwise terrorized his people for 25 years until the Ayatollahs overthrew the regime. Then the US gave chemical and traditional weapons to Iraq so that THEY could mass murder the Iranians for another decade or so. Not sure why any Iranians are celebrating. The history of US "liberations" of nations is little more than blood-filled and brutal...but the puppets we install certainly toe the line.....
