I'm on the outside looking in fer sure...

It was the summer of 1969. I was 16 and madly in love with a cute girl from Ridge Street who was in the same theater group I was. We put on small plays and skits for people at civic centers and church basements, not for money but just for fun. No cell phones, no computers, no social media - none of the shit that keeps kids 'occupied' these days when they not twerk-jerking themselves off. I know every generation says their childhood was the best of times, but going forward, I don't see today's kids being able to say that going forward. Juss' sayin'...

They talk about how important the coming mid-term elections are gonna be. I wonder what the thinking is on the Dim side of the aisle with this whole no-funding bullshit.
At DFW Airport they're actually putting portable cots out for the passengers to sleep on on the TSA lines. Think this shutdown bullshit'll garner them some new voters? It's really fuckin' stupid if ya ask me...

President Trump has never been afraid to say what career politicians won’t: America has been getting ripped off by foreign freeloaders for decades, especially when it comes to prescription drugs.

While U.S. patients and taxpayers foot the bill for the world’s most advanced medicines, wealthy nations have been freeloading off our innovation.

Yesterday in Polk County, someone decided running from Florida Highway Patrol was a good idea.
It wasn’t. After a clean PIT maneuver and a quick arrest, troopers recovered 150 pounds of marijuana and $40,000 in cash.
One suspect learned the hard way — you can try to outrun Florida, but you’re not outrunning FHP. They are as tenacious as a friggin' pitbull on a scent.
Every traffic stop has risks, every shift has uncertainty. These guys are good, and they know it.

Illinois is a solidly Democratic state, and so tonight's winner will likely become the state's next senator, with the Cook Political Report rating it out of reach for a Republican hopeful. It pitted the powerful Congressional Black Caucus against the state's sitting governor against a Democratic fundraising powerhouse.
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, who harbors White House ambitions (Can you imagine this guy as Commander in Chief?), 'put his weight behind his No. 2, Stratton', much to the chagrin of the CBC. The race got so hostile that CBC Chair Yvette Clarke, a US Representative from New York, blasted Pritzker for his interference.
'Governor Pritzker's effort to tip the scales in Illinois' US Senate race is beyond frustrating for the Congressional Black Caucus,' Clarke said in a statement. 'A sitting governor shouldn't be heavy-handing the race.'

Can you imagine what kinda worm climbed in to this guy's brain? He was the director of the National Counterterrorism Center and he actually didn't think Iran was a problem. WTF, dude...

  1. Virginia Democrats are attempting to disenfranchise Virginia Republican voters, making their votes useless through gerrymandering. Far more damaging to voter rights than requiring ID. Why? Their excuse is because of what has happened in other states, ignoring that gerrymandering has been common practice in states like Massachusetts, Illinois, California, New Jersey, New York favoring Democrats.
Even if this passes the April special election, it should be legally challenged as an unConstitutional infringement on voter rights ... worse than a poll tax or analogous to closing all voting locations in black neighborhoods.
The midterms are going to be horrid.

    1. Republicans kicked the hornet's nest in Texas with mid-decade redistricting. Democrats picked up the gauntlet and are taking things a lot further and will get a lot more juice out of that rock.
Gerrymandering should be outlawed nationwide. Representation has to follow the people's will and not the politicians desires. Both parties are guilty of gerrymandering.

The only positive thing I can say about democrats is that a couple of years ago they tried outlawing gerrymandering. Every democrat voted for it and every republican voted against.

The house is already lost. If republicans don't get their act together they will lose the senate too

  2. There is a reason Biden is not president anymore. Inflation and fuel price were huge drivers for that.
Trump is term limited but if we stay on this course the next president will certainly not be republican. Hell if he keeps fucking up democrats may take the senate and impeach him!

Biden fucked around and found out. Trump is fucking around. The finding out portion can't be too far down the road
