Of course it's a Dimocrat behind this. A Maryland legislative proposal involving the placement of menstrual hygiene products in public buildings has triggered debate among lawmakers, including questions about how broadly the requirement would apply and how the products would be defined.
During a recent legislative exchange, Democratic Del. Ken Kerr indicated the proposal would require menstrual products to be made available in public facilities, including potentially state-owned venues such as major sports stadiums. When asked about product specifications, Kerr said, “It just means that tampons are offered. There’s no specific size,” later adding, “Just a regular-sized tampon in the bathroom.”
