Florida Hillbilly on FB is reporting that several progressive Democrats known collectively as “The Squad” - including Alexandria Ocasio‑Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley - issued 'sharply worded public statements' condemning President Trump’s military strikes on Iran. The criticism erupted within minutes of the confirmed U.S. and Israeli military action targeting Iranian facilities, without any of them having any knowledge of actual actions taken.
Rep. Omar released a lengthy statement accusing President Trump of “unilaterally dragging this nation into an illegal and unjustified war with Iran without congressional authorization, without a clear objective, and without any imminent threat to the United States.”
Rep. Ocasio-Cortez likewise warned that the United States was being drawn into another major Middle East conflict without public consent or congressional approval. In her statement, she said, “The American people are once again dragged into a war they did not want by a president who does not care about the long-term consequences of his actions.”
Rep. Tlaib posted blunt criticism on X, writing, “He doesn’t care about our loved ones in the military. He doesn’t care about the fact that Americans don’t want this war. He doesn’t care about the Iranian people.
Rep. Pressley also accused the president of bypassing Congress and risking lives unnecessarily, stating, “Donald Trump does not care about civilians in the region or the safety of U.S. troops. He’s illegally bypassing Congress and starting a war with Iran. Congress must take action to rein in Trump and save lives.”
It's amazing what these idiots can say without saying anything.
There is no good in any of them, all of them being a true embarassment
to our Congress and country.
