While most of America might have been watching the SOTU address last night, I was watching WKRP reruns...
President Trump blasted Democratic politicians who declined to endorse his State of the Union message that the “first duty” of the US government is to protect American citizens over illegal migrants.
“One of the great things about the State of the Union is how it gives Americans the chance to see clearly what their representatives really believe,” Trump said during his Tuesday night remarks in the House chamber. “So tonight, I’m inviting every legislator to join with my administration in reaffirming a fundamental principle. If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support: The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens.”
Virtually every Democrat remained firmly seated. THAT is why I don't watch these speeches.
Politics is so partisan that they can't even choose to agree on a good idea like protecting you and I. If they can't bring themselves to do something that simple, why waste my time watching the President - any one - preaching to the choir?
I surrender.

A North Carolina kindergarten substitute teacher who identified as a “trans wolf,” wore a collar and tail in class, and allegedly encouraged students to participate in animal-like behavior has been fired following complaints from parents of children at Mildred B. Poole Elementary School at Fort Bragg. The Department of Defense Education Activity confirmed the teacher’s dismissal after military families raised concerns that the behavior was inappropriate and frightening for young children. The teacher reportedly told students he turned into a wolf at night, required them to call him by wolf-character names, and engaged in conduct that parents described as confusing and disturbing for kindergarten and pre-K students.
Parents said the teacher, who also dressed in women’s clothing along with a dog collar and an animal tail, told children he was “actually a woman” who “likes boys” and that he turns into a wolf. One parent said their child told them, “Mommy, I’m scared he’s going to come eat me.”
The detention of the teacher followed a formal complaint letter from the legal advocacy group Liberty Counsel to the Department of Defense Education Activity. Critics argued that school administrators failed to act on earlier parental complaints before the teacher’s conduct triggered deeper concern.

The U.S. Department of Justice has filed a federal lawsuit against the State of New Jersey and Mikie Sherrill over an executive order limiting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations on state property.
The order restricts ICE agents from accessing nonpublic areas of state facilities — including courthouses and prisons — without a judicial warrant and bars the use of state property for civil immigration enforcement operations.
Federal officials argue the policy violates the Constitution’s Supremacy Clause by interfering with federal immigration enforcement authority. New Jersey officials say they will defend the order, calling the lawsuit unnecessary and politically motivated.

37 years ago, Yankees owner George Steinbrenner wrote a letter to Donald Trump telling him that he "should run for President someday and get the whole damn thing straightened out."

Speaking of another guy who once was nicknamed 'The Boss', Springstein is back and ready to hit the road for a tour this summer, framing the tour as both a celebration and a call to action. However, fans are feeling that Brucie may be a little “out of touch” with these ticket prices.
The first batch of tickets for Springsteen’s “Land of Hope and Dreams” tour with the E Street Band went on sale Friday, and fans were quick to take to social media to point out the prices — reaching as much as $2,957 for top seats.
Many echoed similar sentiments; if 'The Boss' is so keen on being the “working class hero,” how could he be such a “hypocrite” and allow these expensive and unattainable ticket prices on his tour?

In a furious tirade on social media Monday, Keith Olbermann wrote: 'Anybody smart (or respectful of women athletes) on the U.S. Men's Olympic hockey team will refuse Trump's invitation to The State of the Union. 'Any who show up are declaring their indelible stupidity and misogyny. The End.'
He later added: 'It's official: US Gold Winning Olympic Hockey team declined invitation to be political props for Trump at the SOTU tomorrow. The women, that is. The men are still too stupid, self-absorbed and misogynistic to realize that going, will stick to them permanently.'
