Think about that for a bit. These people hate Donald Trump so much that they'd actually and actively protest the organization that's responsible for protecting our borders. There is no other way to look at what's going on.
Organizers, led by the national grassroots organization 50501 (any idea who may be funding this organization?), say today’s protests are a response to a series of recent deaths involving federal immigration agents, including the fatal shootings of Alex Pretti and Renee Good in Minneapolis earlier this month, the homicide of Geraldo Campos in an immigration detention facility in Texas and the shooting of Keith Porter Jr by an off-duty Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer in Los Angeles.
Activists said the killings reflect what they see as a broader pattern of excessive force, detention abuses and the militarization of immigration enforcement.
“The national day of action is about fighting back against the escalations that the Trump administration has taken against the American people over the past year,” said Hunter Dunn (a personification of everything DTS), a national press coordinator for 50501 and organizer in southern California. “Reports about the killings of Porter and Campos, the ones not captured on camera, and so many others have pierced the veil for many people who until now were unaware of how bad things had gotten.”
This is 50501. Will they still exist on February 6th or will they morph in to something else anti-Trump. At some point, hopefully, either a civic-minded individual or maybe our FBI will get involved in finding out where the money is coming from to fund operations like this one. Juss' sayin'...

When you're reminiscing about shit from when you were (much) younger, does the Soapbox Derby ever pop in to your thoughts? I remember so clearly how the car that my father and I whittled, sanded, painted and prepped won our version of the Derby back in probably 1961 or so. The races were held in the basement of our church (where the Cub Scout and Boy Scout meetings took place)and consisted basically of a sheet of plywood with lanes painted on to it (my father's handiworks). I wonder what ever happened to that chintzy little trophy and ribbon...

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson is escalating his feud with the Right, claiming Republicans "never accepted the results of the Civil War" and are actively seeking a do-over. In a fiery new statement, Johnson urged Chicagoans to unite in resistance, warning that current federal enforcement policies look exactly like "if the Confederacy had won."
Johnson’s remarks were part of a broader announcement establishing “ICE-free zones” across Chicago, where city property and participating private businesses will no longer serve as staging grounds for federal immigration raids. The executive order mandates signage and legal protocols to prevent federal agents from using city facilities for enforcement actions.
The mayor also claimed that volunteers across Chicago are risking their lives to protect families from being separated, stating that some are “putting themselves at risk of being shot and killed by the federal government.”

There is so much anger and hatred in this country right now, that's starting to look inevitable that there's another form of civil war coming.
I wouldn't worry about the lefties too much though.
I figure we have them out-gunned probably 50-to-1...

TEXAS JUDGE IN CUFFS: The tables have turned. Judge Rosie Speedlin-Gonzalez - the first openly gay judge in Bexar County - was just arrested and indicted for abusing her power.
THE INCIDENT: When a defense attorney tried to advise her client, the judge snapped, accusing her of "coaching." When the lawyer pushed back, Speedlin-Gonzalez didn't just overrule her - she ordered the attorney handcuffed and thrown in the jury box like a criminal.
THE FALLOUT: Now, the judge is facing felony charges for unlawful restraint. While she has previously claimed she was "targeted" for her Pride flags, prosecutors say this arrest is about one thing: a judge acting like she is above the law. Justice served?
