Tax the rich, feed the poor, till there are no rich no more...

The tag line I saw read: "You made it here, now it's time to give some back". The balls on these fuckin' people. A new 'billionaires tax' will be on the ballot next election in November that will force the approx. 200+ billionaires that live in the State to cough up 5% of their total net worth in a supposed one-time-only deal.
Guess what guys - if they find out they can do it once, they'll most-a-fuckin' suredly do it again. And again. And again. Until there's no one left to do it to. Proponents say that the roughly $100 billion raised by the bill, which would tax about 200 people, would help offset federal cuts to health care. Think about that. Not 'fund' health care - help offset losses.

It's  a fuckin' rabbithole and the smart guys - the people smart or lucky enough to make it to that status - are beatin' feet as fast as they can. Because they're smart. And they can afford to go wherever the fuck they want...

John Solomon, the editor-in-chief of Just the News is reporting that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has flagged approximately $692 million ($342.4 million in 2024 and $349.4 million in 2025) in declared U.S. currency detected in passengers' luggage departing from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP)—roughly $1 million per day over the two years.
The investigative reports state that most of these cash transports were carried by Somali-American couriers on flights to Somalia or other Middle Eastern destinations. The cash was legally declared (as required for amounts over $10,000 under U.S. law), so no immediate seizures or arrests occurred at the airport. However, federal authorities are now probing these movements as potentially linked to money laundering and the export of proceeds from large-scale fraud schemes in Minnesota.
Federal investigators suspect fraud proceeds were converted to cash and exported via couriers (often using informal hawala networks common in Somali culture for remittances). Some probes have allegedly linked funds to regions in Somalia controlled by al-Shabaab (a terrorist group).

Does anyone anywhere give a flying fuck about award shows like this any more? All they do is bow smoke up each other's asses and reward bad behavior. I think the last time I actually watched any awards show,Julie Andrews got some kind of an award for some Mary Proppin' somethingt. Juss' sayin'...

Director Judd Apatow joked “we’re a dictatorship now” when presenting the award for Best Director at the Golden Globe Awards . While Judd Apatow did not mention the president’s name during his speech, he has previously been critical of the Trump administration.

“I’ve had a beef since my film Trainwreck lost Best Comedy to Ridley Scott’s The Martian,” he said. “That’s water under the bridge. That was 10 years ago. Since then, we’ve had COVID. I believe we’re a dictatorship now, but I’m still pretty focused on this Martian thing.”

It’s a real power play. Gov. Hochul wants AI and other computer data centers that devour huge amounts of energy to pay more for electricity ...
