Every day's prety much the same. It really does feel like nothing - with the exception of the topics of conversation - ever changes, day-to-day. The haters - on both sides - still hate. No one makes an effort to change anybody's mind, because we seem to have lost our talent (or is it a gift) for reasonable discourse.
Sitting at my local hang last night saw a couple I didn't recognize sit at the bar a few stools away. Looked to me like she had a bit of a glow working, and, don'tcha know, within less than five minutes she threw her drink in her companion's face and stormed out cursing quite loudly. The guy, embarrased, paid his bill and got up to leave, noticing I was looking his way. He walks past and says - to no one in particular - 'My sister is such a liberal bitch'.
I nodded knowingly at the guy as he left, as if to say I hear ya, Bud...

I hear this song in my head almost every day.

“Today, the Washington National Opera announced its decision to seek an amicable early termination of its affiliation agreement with the Kennedy Center and resume operations as a fully independent nonprofit entity,” the opera said in a statement to the New York Times. A separate website appears to be set up for the opera. The Kennedy Center has been home to the WNO since it first opened in 1971.
Opera leadership indicated that alternative venues within Washington DC have been identified, though no leases have yet been finalized, the opera said in its statement.

State figures show Los Angeles County lost nearly 80,000 residents in 2023, followed by around 46,000 in 2024, with tens of thousands more leaving again in 2025.

This will be fun to watch - 25 or so geriatrics walking their little doggies in baby carriages holding 'FUCK ICE' signs. If I'm really, really bored I may go down and applaud. Maybe...

RIP Bob Weir. I guess he's pretty much one of the few last of the old hippie types from the 60's. Gotta be honest - never liked any of their music to the point that I didn't like people who did. In my eyes, DeadHeads were, are and always have been ShitHeads.
Juss' my opinion...

Do you like a strong cup of tea? I found this in Belfast a long time ago.
It's the best tea I've ever tasted. Buying it in packs of four boxes
reduces the cost dramatically.
