And there was no American flag to be seen anywhere...

Honest to god I actually watched about five minutes of this before I had to turn it off. This motherfucker is genuinely scary. But it's the Big Apple's problem, not mine. I'm okay with not going back in to the city anymore, even after having worked - and played there for as long as I did. The one takeaway I got from watching it was glaringly sickening. The re was not a single American flag to be seen anywhere on the stage. Not a one. In America;'s largest City.

At Zohran Mamdani's mayoral inauguration ceremony today, the flags of all five New York City boroughs were displayed prominently. The official flag of the City of New York was also present. 

The flags displayed were:

The Flag of the Borough of Queens 

This flag was given special prominence, flying above City Hall in honor of Mamdani being the first mayor from Queens. It features horizontal blue, white, and blue bars with a central design of a tulip and a rose surrounded by wampum (shell beads).

No American flag - not even a State of New York flag. Have fun with your African-born Muslim Mayor up there guys. Ya get what you asked for...
