According to a post this afternoon, she nearly hit rockbottom. A Chinese tourist narrowly escaped death after getting smashed onto rocks by a giant wave while sightseeing in Egypt. The vacationer had reportedly been visiting the Matrouh Eye, a scenic area in Mersa Matruh that’s popular among tourists, who flock there to view the striking rock formations and dramatic surf, NewsX reported.
Unfortunately, the tide can crash unexpectedly against the cliffs, posing risks for tourists standing too close to the surf zone — as was the case with the aforementioned woman.
