I thought the First Amendment is about freedom of speech...

Simply stated, what the First Amendment covers is more than just the 'free speech' thing. It states that Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of a 'national religion', or prohibiting the free exercise thereof (the Government can't prevent you from observing any one or other religion); or abridging the freedom of speech, or freedom of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

  4. We need to legislate that Islam is not a religion but is a political ideology set on conquest and then ban it.

  5. When I was in high school in Boston in the late 1950’s, my home room teacher read the Bible to us every morning before classes began. He read the KJV to a classroom full of Catholics and Jews, and was blithely unaware that other versions existed.
