MTG ain't that fuckin' stupid after all. What a racket...

Marjorie Taylor Greene's abrupt decision to resign from Congress is drawing scrutiny after it emerged that her chosen departure date falls just two days after her federal pension becomes fully vested.
The timing places the 51-year-old Georgia Republican past the five-year service threshold required for lawmakers to qualify for lifetime pension benefits under federal rules. Greene announced Friday that she is leaving Congress and will step down on January 5, 2026.
Members of Congress with just five years of service or federal employment are eligible for a generous pension that pays two to three times more than pensions offered to similarly-salaried workers in the private sector - none of whom get a fully funded pension after just five years. The value of the benefit is determined by a formula based on the initial date of election to office, the length of service, and the average of the three years of highest salary. That is some fuckin' racket, brother...

  1. Only good thing about MT is she's going back to Georgia, can you imagine going to Georgia for anything? Another millionaire we get to pay our taxes to for 5yrs of nothing out of her.

  2. I don't know.....I had such high hopes for her when she was fresh and new...now the bint is toxic and un-hinged. Trying to qualify my first round of thinking about her and the reality of today. Something must have happened; IE, "they" got to her. Don't know what it is or was. Sad

  3. You think it's more noble or something to not get a retirement as offered to everyone in Congress?

I am happy your honest earlier about why you're not a millionaire.

I looked up MTG's retirement and it seems it's pretty modest

Misleading. Her pension will be $14,320 a year when she retires in 11 years. I don’t know what you are talking about in the Epstein bill. She explained her reasons for leaving in her statement. Why should anyone participate in a system doomed to fail?

If She was "SMART" in that corrupt system she'd ACCEPT AIPAC money and be an Israel First stooge.

But she's not and disagrees with Trump's Israel First program and has quit.

BTW her "millionaire status" unlike so many AIPAC rich and stock market Experts (like Pig lousy) is from her family's business.

  4. OF course she's going to wait till she's "vested"...as if you wouldn't?

    1. This, in spades. I was offered a nice sum to leave a job. Turns out by passing on the offer, I was outsourced anyway six months later, but that entitled to start collecting my pension ten years earlier (at 80%), which put my kids through college.

  5. I don't blame her for fleeing the putrid swamp. Might as well grab some bucks on the way out.

  6. As crazy as some think she is, you have to give her credit for calling a spade a spade.

  7. Something weird is going on there - one little spat with Trump and she bails out of Congress? Of course now the mainstream media is loving her just like Chaney and McCain when they came out against the President.

  8. I always told my kids to play the game with the rules as written, not as you want them to be.

My only beef with her is that she should serve out the elected term. She knew it was an unfixable cesspit before she ran last time. She should serve out the entire term and just not run for reelection. There are somethings a congress critter can do for you that her constituents will be stuck without representation.

  9. Tile work is awesome. Sorry to see MTG go. A liberal we have to tolerate hates her.
