Thanks once again to my friend Bob (who will remain anonymous) for the hard rolls. Buttered and toasted on the grill, Taylor Ham fried and the eggs fried in the Taylor Ham fat with real, honest to god yellow American cheese (which I haven't bought in maybe 30 years, bu the way) and just a hint of Ketchup and a litle pepper. The Ham is salty enough. I was back in my Mother's loving arms - metaphorically speaking, of course. Next week is my 72nd anniversary of being here. I may treat myself again...

ReplyDeleteGo ahead, make my mouth water, you sadistic bastard. (<-- with tongue in cheek! . . . enjoy your delicious taste treat, Giusepp'!)
ReplyDeleteOnly one slice of Taylor Ham per sandwich ? You got to have two or three !
ReplyDeleteTaylor ham is hard to come by down here so we were conserving yes there are two slices on each sandwich
DeleteI guess I'm lucky. I'm in remote rural Oregon, hundreds of miles from the nearest "city", and they carry it in my local food.
DeleteNothing, and I mean nothing, beats a childhood memory food. Enjoy!!
