Make up your friggin' minds. This gets tedious after the 101st time...

They do this every year, and it doesn't matter which side won't budge. Here's an  interesting fact that maybe you didn't know: During a government shutdown, some employees continue to get paid, while others are required to work without immediate pay or are furloughed without pay. However, a 2019 law guarantees that most federal employees will receive back pay once the shutdown ends.
Congressional members and the President's pay is funded by a permanent appropriation and continues during a shutdown. Social Security and Medicare also have permanent funding. Recipients will continue to receive their payments, though customer service may be limited.

The FBI went to find one suspect — and left with four. The FBI says it served a search warrant in Portland where a laser was aimed at a Border Patrol helicopter during protests over the weekend.

The 'autonomous vehicle' committed the traffic infraction in front of police at a light during a grant-funded DUI enforcement operation on Friday evening.
Would you actually get in to a taxi with no driver? I wouldn't...

A Florida man allegedly killed, cooked, and ate two of his pet peacocks to get twisted revenge against his neighbor for feeding them. I grew up in a neighborhood - the North Ward of Newark, NJ - that was predominately Italian and Irish with a coupla Puerto Ricans and Cubans thrown in to the mix. There was also that one chinese family who had the dry cleaners on Mt. Prospect that always smelled like somebody was frying fish in the basement - for all I know they might have been. Anyway, I know of at least five different stores just like that one within walking distance from our house. There was one German guy, one Jewish guy and the rest were goombahs. That's another one of those memory things that I could close my eyes and completely conjur what the place smelled like.
