It came back with this: While it is impossible to give a simple "yes" or "no" answer, many sources suggest that NBC News, particularly in previous eras, was widely respected and seen as credible. However, like most legacy news organizations, its reputation and credibility have been tested by shifts in media consumption and several high-profile controversies.
'Anchors Chet Huntley and David Brinkley pioneered a distinctive, conversational news style and built a reputation for reliable and straightforward reporting. The program was a ratings leader for much of its run and was a defining fixture of American television news.'
Since then, it's pretty much gone down the shitter, as this example surely demonstrates - NBC has issued a correction after 'Misgendering' last week's transgender church shooter. Following the August 27 shooting at a Minneapolis Catholic school, NBC News corrected its initial report that misidentified the shooter, Robin Westman, by using male pronouns. Westman identified as a transgender woman. NBC updated its coverage and issued a correction to reflect accurate pronoun usage.
I really have only one question about this. Who are/were they apologizing to by making this 'correction'? Surely not the shooter, so who then? The handbasket they're headed to hell in must be a pretty big one...

This deal is still active.
I know I've said this before but it's worth repeating again. Every once in a while I spot a deal on Amazon like this one that must be some kinda closeout, because the price is so friggin' cheap it makes ya wonder how they make money on the sale, right?
Anyway, if you see me put a banner ad like this up, click on it and check out the product. I'll only do this for deals I think are too good to be true, and here's the most important thing - these deals usually disappear overnight. Too many times I've spotted something and mentioned it here, and I go back a day or two later and the price is up 20/30/even 40 percent. Juss' sayin'...
