Dueling hurricanes?!? It’s possible next week...

It probably won’t work out quite this way. These situations are notoriously difficult for models to handle - hurricanes are more fickle than your bride. But there is truly the potential for two tropical systems off the Eastern Seaboard next week. The real question is: how will they interact IF (it’s a big IF) they both form. Typically one pivots around the other (in what's called a Fujiwhara) and one kills the other. They can NOT merge into one monster storm because the sinking air from one kills the other.
There is no threat to Florida at this point. But the Carolina Coast to Cape Cod need to at least keep tabs on it. If nothing else, it may be fascinating to watch from a science perspective. This is the Euro model. They all handle it differently.

On a slightly personal note...
I want to take a moment and thank all of you for your comments on what you see here. It'd be a bit too much for me to respond to each and every one of them, but I do have to approve them before they go online, so you must know that I read them all and really do appreciate your interaction with everyone. Again, thanks for your input.

I don't know about this. It seems a little cuntish to me, and she really isn't making any kinda major point by acting like a bitch, so why do it? It's the kinda bullshit some deranged pink hair Lib would do, so I just ain't diggin' it.

There is something so incredibly visceral about this shot I almost feel a tear forming in my eyes. I can close my eyes and put myself in that exact spot, but in that mental picture I'm 55 years younger. The room smells of patchouli oil, insence and leather. The Yardbirds are playing on the stereo, I'm wearing a striped djellaba, jeans and Frye boots. My world is perfect - if only for that moment.

Mike Luckovich is a stone cold leftie editorial cartoonist who finds himself on the wrong side of almost every issue almost every time he publishes. It's a fascinating little side note that most - actually damn near all - of the newspapers that print his kinda bullshit are on the verge of collapse, nearly and/or already bankrupted and out of business.
As a side note I'd add that all those people featured in that drawing are all fighting for something, but none of them could even define Democracy. They're all fighting for the right to say whatever the fuck they want with impunity and no consequences, and guess what. FAFO. Juss' sayin'...

I'm sure my blogger buddies all have the same diagnostics behind their blogs as well, and the numbers probably pretty much all look similar. What it means is those readers who go to another blog first and use the sidebar links to transfer to here. And then from here you can do the same with my sidebar links, and the shit just keeps rolling downhill...

That's subtle. And timely. Well played, Mr. Summers...

So, who's doing the actual counting?
Can these numbers be substantiated?

If you're not impressed with that, WTF. dude...

  1. Johnny Carson may have learned that lesson the hard way. I remember watching him one night when he made a comment about gun control and the audience went completely silent. He grimaced and said something about not doing that again. That said, he had the best late night show ever and no one will ever measure up to his standard.

  2. I have a pic of a Tesla blocking the fuel pump.

I saw an interview with a fighter pilot from World War II. He said pilots had it easier than infantry. Pilots shot up the plane, not the person. The fight was depersonalized. I think cars are the same way. People will do things in their car against other cars (they don't see them as people) that they never would do "in person".

  3. Carson obviously learned from his missteps. Sadly, that ability seems to be nearly nonexistent today, especially in the media and "entertainment" industries .

Lagging way behind Biden, Obama was the king of deportations. All a lot of hot air.

  5. Gotta agree with'ya on the "deportation" numbers. Two million is an easy round number.

  8. Cut work today just like every Friday, stopped by the record store to drop off a few albums I didn't need & picked up a few that my record dealer has for me. Don't have any patchouli oil but I'm sure I can find something to stink the place up.

  9. De Santis along with 48 other governors should be tried for crimes against the American People. They destroyed businesses, retarded students, placed people under house arrest, tortured dying people by denying access to loved ones, etc, etc, etc
