Most of the people living in those parts of Ukraine don't want to live under Ukrainian rule. Which is why the Ukrainian government shelled them with artillery starting in 2014, killing thousands. F*ck Ukraine. They are no better than the Russians, and it's none of our business.

A generally left-leaning rag admits Roosha didn't start the trouble. Anyone paying attention for the last 15 years knows it was icky Vicky and friends that got the ball rolling, and then the US renegade on its "promise" that Ukraine would never be invited to join NATO.
I admire Trump for trying to bring an end to the killing (because killing bad, in general). I hope a lasting peace agreement is reached.
Given the general mindset of the population on that stretch of US territory, I'd give it up and not think twice about it.

ReplyDeleteGreen is a bogus concept as is the garbage term fossil fuels. They are naturally occurring products of the Earth. Nothing termed green will ever return the amount of energy it takes to produce it and with wind towers and solar make a bigger environmental mess than natural fuel production. Nuclear waste is a whole other kettle of fish.

ReplyDeleteSatellite identification and tracking of hurricanes didn't really start until 1961 with sketchy detection until geostationary satellites came on-line in the early to mid 70's.
So 'Erin is the earliest Cat 5 to form' is obviously false.
And the earliest to form are identified in the 2000's. Camille is identified because she hit.
We used to not identify hurricanes before they came close to the US. Before that, it was when it was reported (usually by ships, but always when they made landfall.
There's no telling how many Cat 5 hurricanes formed in the 20th Century, only to do what Erin is doing and form way out in the Atlantic and pretty much stay out in the Atlantic.
The info above was a 3 minute search on the interwebs.
We do not hate reporters or climatologists enough.
