Port Noo beach is a popular Blue Flag beach known for its stunning natural beauty, located about 15 minutes from my brother TJ's cottage in Doochary. It's a sandy beach sheltered by Dunmore Head, located near the village of Narin and easily accessible from Portnoo.
At low tide, visitors can walk across a tidal sand bank to Inishkeel Island, which houses the remains of a 6th-century church, holy wells, and ancient carved stones. The beach area is well-equipped with amenities like public toilets, parking, and nearby shops, bars, and restaurants, making it a family-friendly destination.
Besides swimming and exploring the island, the area offers activities like golf at the nearby 18-hole golf links and potential yoga sessions on the beach during summer.
