Cracker Barrel has deteriorated very badly. Used to be a semi-regular road trip stop in the AM. Good service, fast even with the wait, decent food at a fair price. Last time was 3 or so years ago. 10AM- not a hot time. 45 minute wait, 1/4 of the restaurant open, slow service, food nearly inedible. Fail on every single factor. There were alternatives literally on every other corner, we nearly walked after 40 min but decided to hang tough. Bad call. We're the dead center of their demographic- retired, travel frequently, willing to pay for a decent value, midwesterners. Totally lost us. It's not the decor, new OR old - it's the fact that the place has just gone to hell on everything that counts.
