They exempted yelling fire in theaters from the First Amendment - maybe we should give this a little more thought. I honest-to-God don't know how I'd react if I came across some jerkoff burning a flag. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I'd accept it as a legitimate protest or some crap like that. No, I'm more concerned with whether I'd go tactical or just go straight to nuclear. No matter what, don't do that shit in front of me. That's the flag that me, my father and both of my brothers served and fought for.

ReplyDeleteThere was a show call Renovation Realities, that showed homeowners doing projects. Most failed to complete the project on time/budget and probably half called in pro's to finish the job.
ReplyDeleteI'm like you. I've never seen anyone burn our flag but I'm pretty sure I'd have to get involved. Last year at our gun club small bore match, a guest pulled out an American flag towel and started to wipe the sweat off his face. I flipped out. I walked up to him and asked him if he was ever in the service? He said no, I said, I can tell. He packed his stuff up and left.

I used to work for a small airline in the '80s, I worked in Badly Air Services (BAS) hangar and received a BAS paycheque but the airplanes I worked on had Worst Air painted on the side. Worst Air owned nothing, they leased airplanes owned by the president and his buddies and had a contract with BAS to provide maintenance and flight crews. If Worst Air had a crash or went bankrupt they could repaint the airplanes and change the flight crew uniform and be back in business and screw the creditors.
