If your trips are anything like mine (Japan), the time difference will mess you up for a few days and it was still worth it.

I make two trips to the Philippines each year and the flight back because of the time changes give me a 36 hour long day. Takes two days to get there and one day to return. And I can spend 22 to 26 hours travelling each way. It is tiring no matter which way you go.
