The View co-host Joy Behar let slip that the show is taking a 'hiatus,' a day after the Trump administration called for its cancelation. Behar, 82, dropped the news on Thursday's show, saying: 'Before we go on hiatus, we only have one more show after this.' 'I'm allowed to say that, right?' she appeared to say to someone off camera in a conspiratorial tone.
A day before Behar's announcement, the White House issued a statement calling her 'an irrelevant loser' after she claimed on The View that Trump was 'jealous' of former President Barack Obama.
'It's no surprise that "The View's" ratings hit an all-time low last year,' a White House spokesperson said in response. '[Behar] should self-reflect on her own jealousy of President Trump's historic popularity before her show is the next to be pulled off air.'
