At what point will we ever draw the line on over-regulation? Beach umbrellas now? Jeez...

Ya see these stories pop up once in a while and immediately my head starts to hurt a little. Think about when you were a kid and the family went to the beach for the day. Sure, every once in a blue moon, you'd see a beach umbrella go flying by in the wind, but so what? If the wind is blowing that hard that it uproots a planted umbrella and sends it skirting down the beach, why are you still on the beach ferfucksakes?  Eric Houghtaling, a Monmouth County Democrat, wrote a bill that would require beach umbrellas to be secured to the sand with an attachment that bores down into the sand, with tie-down straps or by using sandbags.

All Jersey Shore towns allow you to pitch some kind of a shade, but not every method of blocking out the sun is welcome on every beach. Crazy, isn't it - the shit these 'city fathers' worry about? Juss' sayin'...

Scientists have discovered that Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine may
increase the risk of eye damage, leading to vision loss.

The new study specifically examined how the vaccine affected patients' corneas, the clear front part of the eye that allows light to enter. In 64 people, scientists in Turkey measured changes in the cornea's inner layer, called the endothelium, before taking the first Pfizer dose and two months after receiving the second.

On this day in 1969, Ted Kennedy and 28-year-old Mary Jo Kopechne left a party just before midnight on Chappaquiddick Island in Massachusetts. After taking a wrong turn, Kennedy drove off a bridge and escaped as the car submerged into the water, leaving Mary Jo to drown.

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard announced yesterday that she was presenting evidence that then-President Barack Obama's team laid the groundwork for the Russia-connected "coup" against Trump. It'll be interesting to see how this unfolds. Who among us wouldn't like to see Hillary in an orange overall outfit?

In much of the world, Coke is made with cane sugar. The majority of Coke sold in the United States is made with corn syrup, a far cheaper alternative used since a switch in the 1980s. Trump is suggesting they revert to their original with-cane-sugar recipe.
As a guy who drinks at leat one coke every day, I'd be more than okay with that, and wouldn't mind paying a little extra for it.

As a frequent Amazon shopper you pay a premium for an annual Prime subscription, so when an email arrives warning the price is going up you might be tempted to react too quickly. But the email, which includes a button to click on to “cancel” the subscription, is a scam and sent by fraudsters trying to steal your account login and payment details.
After a recent surge in customers reporting fake messages, Amazon emailed its more than 200 million Prime members globally to warn them. The company took this step to ensure “scammers are not using our brand to take advantage of people who trust us” and “educate consumers to avoid impersonation scams”.
It is impressive the lengths that these internet scam jerkoffs will go to get at your personal shit. Word of advice? If there is a link within the email itself, right-click it first to see where it's headed. Also always check the email address of the sender. In this case, it would be XYZ (whatever)@Amazon.com, and nothing more. If it's anything else that looks like bullshit, shitcan it. Juss' sayin'...

Unconfirmed eyewitness reports suggest that there was a shooting before the car hit the crowd. Video footage from the scene showed people lying in the road near a smashed-up grey car on the sidewalk outside The Vermont Hollywood.
The video also shows wounded pedestrians receiving treatment from hero bystanders - while others stand back with their heads in their hands. Debris was seen strewn across the street as paramedics raced to help the injured.

  1. Gavin Newscum is Ted Kennedy re-incarnated. I hope Teddy is burning in hell for opening this country up to 3rd world immigration.

  2. Over-regulation means "NO FUN FOR YOU." That's it, they don't want people having fun and being happy, you see it everywhere.

  3. It's idiots like these on the town council of Ocean Grove that cause people to up-armor their bulldozers.

  4. Coke (and most everyone else) uses high fructose corn syrup rather than just corn syrup, HFCS is a byproduct of a refinery processing corn. You can't make HFCS at home from corn but you can make sugar from sugar cane in your kitchen.

This year I've decided to "avoid" HFCS.. Amazon/Whole Foods sells a cola that uses sugar, has caffeine, tastes good and does NOT cost an arm & a leg. I was looking for pancake syrup at walmart last week, ALL the syrup there was made with HFCS! I had to go to a different store for syrup made without HFCS..

  7. HFCS was the DIRECT RESULT OF TARIFFS on imported sugar...NOT CONSUMER CHOICE or random cost -cutting. Additionally, corn producers/processors were handed huge subsidies ALL of which continue to this day courtesy of BOTH the worthless democrats and Republicans. One also has to question, since HFCS is a direct contributor to the huge spike in diabetes and the medical system profits, along with so many other diseases, whether this was ORCHESTRATED by those who profit and the government/FDA protectors.

  9. The beach umbrella issue is real - having nearly been speared several times on the Jersey shore . It actually doesn't take much of a gust to send an umbrella flying - especially since many people don't set it up correctly . I'm not for a nanny state, but this is actually a worthwhile proposal .

  10. Thing is even if Ted “Waitress Sandwhich” Kennedy was drunk off his ass, he grew up there and probably knew every road backwards. Looking at a detailed analysis of the accident (in Playboy IIRC) he knew where he was going and was most likely going to the beach to have sex ( or rather rape MaryJo). Where he f@&ked up was drunk driving off the edge of the narrow wooden bridge probably going too fast.

  11. I have that crockpot. I will heat up a pitcher of boiling water to pour in it to prewarm it as it takes a long time for it to get to operation temperature. Other than that it works great.
