Let's see. Maxine Waters says she 'was down in the streets with them. There were no violent acts commited - except for a few (paraphrasing). newsome saud ' They're peaceful protests (ask the cop who got hit with a brick). Boston Mayor Michelle Wu decries the “secret police tactics,” On TV live, Maxine said - and I quote directly: “Nobody was shot, nobody was killed, get it into your head,” yet police said a man’s body was found in an area of Los Angeles on Tuesday where looters targeted businesses.
I could go on and on, but why bother. People believe only what they want to believe. On Instagram today, I read people commenting and comparing the 'January 6th Insurrection' and Kent State as if their is some kind of parallel between LA right now and then. For the record, Kent State was a peaceful protest - it was the Ohio National Guard who fired live ammo at unarmed kids.
Did the 'insurectionists' throw frozen bottles of water and bricks at cops? Did they set cars on fire? Again, people only believe what they want to believe. You and I can do nothing to change their minds or quell their hatred of all things that make sense to us.
