Until recently, the Army’s long-planned birthday celebration
did not include a big parade. Added under the Trump administration, the event, featuring hundreds of military vehicles and aircraft and thousands of soldiers, has divided veterans.
Some liken it to the military chest-pounding commonly seen in North Korea, a step toward authoritarianism or a perverse birthday party for Trump.
I see it as a celebvration of the Army’s achievements and the military service of millions of soldiers over centuries. The parade is not about Trump. It's about the public seeing the faces of soldiers when so few Americans choose to serve.

In Democrat-run cities across the nation, professional demonstrators, dissidents and dooshbags are staging their own versions of what's been happening in Los Angeles - holding their own "anti-ICE demonstrations". Realizing that's it's all bullshit, Republicans are finally starting to to investigate who may be behind the uprisings.
Protests have popped up in cities like New York City and Chicago, and in Spokane, Washington - all Democrat strongholds. In Spokane, Mayor Lisa Brown, another incompetent DEI-elected female, was forced to impose a curfew after large groups of protesters took to the streets and blocked off roads. Officers who responded to the scene were then seen donning gas masks and deploying a device that released smoke into the crowd, causing them to disperse and begin shouting at police. A total of 30 people have since been arrested there.

ReplyDeleteback in the day, 1970's. in West Berlin, we did a lot of parades. lots of drill marching before said parade.
ReplyDeleteand it was always after the May day parade in East Berlin. then there was the one for the 4th and whatever else came up.
did you know it takes 13-15 cans of pledge to "shine" the top of a M-60 tank ? YUP. OD shiny , don't piss off TOP.
and the jeeps all had chrome lug nuts on them as well. when you got there, they gave you a extra set of dress greens
and they where tailored to fit you too. we spent hours doing D&C on hot streets before the damn parade.
Remember '68? All that footage will be put to good use next year.

I agree that this is an Army parade not a Trump parade. This country should be proud of its' military not ashamed like the press wants you to be. The victory parades after WWII where everybody came out and celebrated were a great thing. I hope the commies do try something because the troops will have live ammo this time.

ReplyDeleteI bought a tree chainsaw years ago at Lowe's and I still have the pole. The chainsaw part was. poorly made and shook itself to bits. Can't remember the mfg. Check it over carefully.
