Insanity isn't limited to just California, ya know. Looks like Jersey wants that crown now...

From Breitbart (of course) - New Jersey State Police refused to take custody of an illegal alien, accused of burglary and theft, who escaped the Delaney Hall detention center in Newark, New Jersey, even as he tried to turn himself in. The refusal to take custody of the illegal alien escapee is a result of New Jersey’s strict sanctuary state policy.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) had been searching for four illegal aliens, all accused of crimes, who escaped from Delaney Hall on June 12. The following day, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and FBI agents located and arrested one of the illegal alien escapees — Joel Enrique Sandoval-Lopez — while another, Joan Sebastian Castaneda-Lozada, was arrested on June 15.
Castaneda-Lozada had tried to turn himself in to the New Jersey State Police at their office in Bridgeton, New Jersey, on June 13. Thanks to the state’s sanctuary policy, though, state police refused to take custody of Castaneda-Lozada even as he was wanted by the FBI. On June 15, Castaneda-Lozada surrendered himself to ICE agents and FBI agents in Millville, New Jersey.

“Disturbingly, Joan Sebastian Castaneda-Lozada tried to turn himself in to local authorities and was turned away because of the state’s sanctuary policies that prohibit law enforcement from working with ICE,” a senior DHS official said. “Thankfully, this criminal alien has now been arrested (by Federal Agents)and is no longer a threat to Americans.”

Hurricane season is upon us and that means power outages - some extended - especially here in Florida. This Westinghouse 2550 peak watt super portable inverter generator is big enough to keep some lights on and the fridge running.
At only $ 499.00. it may be the best-to-value small generator you can buy. Take look.
I just ordered one - and two gas cans...

  1. The Honda is a lot more money, and worth every penny. After finding one at Home Depot (you won't believe this but a guy was returning a rental during an extended power outage here! I led him to the rental counter, "I'll take it.") that ran without a hiccup for five days straight, I bought one. It served me well, I gave it to my daughter when we got a whole house one that runs off of natural gas because I am too old and tired to lug it outside and run bleeping extension cords anymore. Just do it. You won't regret it. Runs freezers, refrigerator, coffee maker and lights.

  2. Order a case of oil too.
After about 10 hours they burn nearly as much oil as gas.

Seriously. They work, and they work well, but they don't last and they do burn up a lot of oil. You'll have to shut it off a check about every hour.

  3. I've had my Honda 2000 for about ten years. Doesn't use a drop of oil and still starts on the 2nd pull. Can do 10 loads of laundry. No longer legal in commiefornia.

Tidy up or pay the fiddler...

This house is about four blocks from my house, and, yes, it is a shithole. A Villager has been given one week to remove debris from his prop...
