He sucks,, no matter what...

I saw a meme yesterday that was a picture of DJT putting - playing golf. The FOX news headline was 'Trump makes birdie on the 18th hole at MaraLago'. The CNN headline read, 'In desperate last attempt, Trump screws up and misses his last chance at eagle'. Is it perspective that's a bitch, or is it the editorial slant of these jerkoff 'reporters' who wouldn't give DJT credit if he found a cure for cancer or gave all his money away to orphans? That's the liberal mindset - no matter what/who/why/when, you have to find fault. What a fucked up way to live your life.

Can you imagine how lame this show could be? Think about a couple of things. Who is their target audience? People my age - I'm 71 - yeah I know that's a crazy number - or older (obviously). It's four old guys in bad wigs - especially the guy on the right. WTF are they thinking? Anyway, Grand Oaks resort is an RV park, but they call themselves a resort for god knows what reason, and finally - look at the showtime. Includes buffet dinner.
Holy crap - I bet it's gonna be hard to find a good parking spot in the shade near the doors. Helen, where are the golf cart keys? We gotta get going or we'll never find a good spot...

This what's known as a 'world-class smackdown'.

Summer, 1967. I had just graduated 8th  grade and was headed towards Essex Catholic High School, freshman year, in September. I go downtown Newark with Bobby Gizzo and buy my very first record album, at S. Klein on the square store on Broad Street.
If I remember correctly, it was this album, and it cost less than two bucks. The beginning of a life-long love of all kinds of music - except rap, 'cause that ain't music as I define it. It's something else, but it ain't music. Recordings of screaching barn owls is music compared to all that rap/hiphop bullshit.
By the way, this album is still available on vinyl or CD.
Check it out here. Juss' sayin'...

  1. As for the Ten Commandments, please explain how it is not BEYOND HYPOCRITICAL to post " thou shalt not STEAL" in a building that was funded through THEFT, filled with staff whose paychecks are funded through THEFT, etc. Government is the most immoral thing in society, and posting platitudes promoting moral behavior isn't going to fix that or change that truth.

  4. "Are You Experienced?" was my wife's first album, too! But it was given to her by a wannabee boyfriend who thought she was hot. Hey, it was in Florida...of course she was hot.

  5. In autumn 1963 at age twelve I saw Lawrence of Arabia whose theme music enchanted me, and that film's score was the first album I bought; because I couldn't afford the extra dollar for the stereo LP, I paid $2.99 for the MONO version and I still have that record in its original though somewhat tattered jacket. The next record I bought, in 1964, was the 45 single of "Dawn" by The Four Seasons. A bit later in '64 the first Rock LP I bought was The Dave Clark 5's Glad All Over, which was their first U.S. album and I still have it. Of course in '67 I bought Hendrix's Are You Experienced and Axis: Bold as Love albums, still have them too. Can't remember which albums I'd lost because I'd brought them to parties or had lent them to friends or acquaintances, but probably six, maybe ten LPs went missing in those ways.

  6. A progressive judge already stopped the Texas 10 commandment law from going into effect.

  7. The "judiciary does not have unbridled authority..." Well, well, well. I thought, they thought they were all gods.

  8. I must know...What..." content is not available in my area." What am I missing? Was it something important? Did the civil war start? Did I miss the rapture?

  9. More proof that scotus nominees should have to pass written exams on their knowledge of the law and Constitution. Minimum score 95% or you're disqualified. Truckers, train engineers, contractors, you name it we all have to pass tests. Why don't they?

  10. 63 years old here, I just looked closely at the Hendrix album cover and discerned an image of Bob Dylan on Jimi's shirt. How did I miss this over the years? Purple Haze, indeed. Barco Sin Vela II

  11. In '67 I was 13 and I bought this album. It took a few listens to really appreciate what Jimi was all about.
Fast forward to '76 and after having endured a few years of disco, My come to Jesus moment was when driving a big rig through western Connecticut, I saw some graffiti on an overpass that said "CLAPTON IS GOD". Everything fell into place at that time.
I can't say as I dislike rap because I don't consider it music.
It's just noise to be drowned out by the likes of Jimi, Carlos, Led Zepplin or Pink Floyd.
