Senior U.S. District Court Judge Charles Breyer, a Clinton appointee, ruled Thursday evening that the Trump administration must relinquish control of the California National Guard. Breyer wrote that the president’s “actions were illegal.” He said they exceeded “the scope of his statutory authority,” and his actions “violated the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution.”
I object, your honor. First of all, do you really think he would do something that stupid? Well, yeah - he might.
He surrenders control to Newsome - A: Newsome'll either pull them and let the city burn, or B: Newsome'll leave 'em there, and burn down his chances for running in 2028.
Either way it's a win/win for Trump, don'tcha think?

This shit was settled by the Supreme Court back in the early 90's during Gulf War I. Minnesota's Governor was refusing the National Guard to go to Iraq/Kuwait on Bush's orders. The Governor got kicked in the balls.
ReplyDeleteIn less than 24 hours. Breyer was behaving like an idiot, knew he was wrong. Judges should get no more than 3 or so such egregious blunders before they face a competency review. When they absolutely misread black letter law, they should suffer severe penalties.

Yeah, like a local federal judge has the ability to stop the President. If they did, then federal judges in the Southeast would have used their courts to stop forced integration and other issues solved by various presidents sending troops to fix the issues.
