So - where'd they all go if they didn't come here?

International air travel to and from the U.S. experienced a slight downturn in March 2025, with a 0.5% decrease in passenger enplanements compared to the previous year. This dip was attributed to Easter being celebrated in April, disrupting travel patterns. However, overall, international air traffic was still 5.7% higher than pre-pandemic levels. While fewer foreign visitors arrived in the U.S., American citizens were still traveling abroad more than in previous years.
Non-U.S. citizen air passenger arrivals to the country were down 9.7% from the previous year. Over 6.5 million U.S. citizens flew to another country in March, a 1.6% increase from March 2024.

Helluva deal for a hundred bucks...

  1. I just checked, Savannah GA to Dublin Ireland round trip is $612 for the first week of August. That is half of what it has been for the past 5 years. I might spend my 41st anniversary in Ireland this year.

  2. You guys may be OK with the current state of affairs being US citizens heading out but tourists from outside the US, even just transiting, are less comfortable. My older brother got a really hard time in LA while passing through with his wife. He's retired, comfortably wealthy, very friendly and squeaky clean but was treated like trash for no apparent reason by some immigration lady playing god. He thought, for a while, he was going to be on a return flight without a clue why. LA is infamous but even genuine visitors are increasingly nervous about immigration zealots.
To be clear I haven't been to the US since 1981 but loved the place back then - a magnificent country with great people (except the sneaky tour driver that shagged my first wife).
