They keep stealing shit from my porch, so...

This is sad, but it's also friggin' hilarious. The Post has this report today about a video that was shared on a neighborhood app, a woman wearing an orange parka with the hood pulled up walks by a house, looks up and sees a package, then quickly rushes up the front steps. From there, she swiftly snatches the box with her left hand, before turning around and fleeing the scene with her supposed score - oblivious to the box’s true contents.
“We put poop in that box . . . Hope they enjoy it,” the Astoria resident, who shared the footage from their front door security camera wrote, in a video now viewed upwards of 1,000 times. “I put cat litter in mine,” another neighbor commented beneath the video. The drastic measures appear to be effective, according to at least one resident.

  1. My cousin had her small dog die. She boxed it up and it was stolen off her front porch.

  2. I was on a "zoom" call when a coworker on LA had to quickly duck out and grab the package off his front porch before the porch pirates got it. Not only do I not lock my doors at night, I'll leave my truck running in the driveway warming up, and go inside to do something for 10 minutes or more. Of course, I live in a red neck area where everyone is armed.

  3. I remember reading about someone who had packages stolen from their car and then wrapped up dog poop in fancy paper with a ribbon on top and every time someone would steal that package out of their car. Said it was an easy way to dispose of the dog's droppings.
