ReplyDeleteNow, now, the Guardian is British and has to maintain a distinctive accent. They've been told that American women find British men's accents sexy and they're scrabbling frantically about to answer the question: "Which ones?" They might come up with things like "I say old boy, Whimbrell was pulled back onto the ship in an untrousered condition" or "Righto, let's dance unhosieried"...I'm for encouraging them. They're funny. And if they do things that really are sexy, like showing up on time for dates and cleaning up after themselves, their accents undoubtedly will become endearing.
