I get it. These editorial cartoon guys have to come up with something new every day to make a paycheck, but... The guys on the liberal side of the cartoon aisle tend to be very short-sighted topically. Today's nest egg? Everybody freaking out and selling everything is just plain stupid, and here's why. There are some equities/companies that will be effected directly by the tariff wars. Companies like HP who make entirely too many of their products overseas. As it happens I have an HP desktop and printer, but I had sold my HP stock six months ago thinking it had tapped out from when I bought it during the covid bullshit.
I digress - the point I'm so desperately trying to make is - stop freaking. It's not doomsday and everything will be back to normal soon enough.

well. here in PA. once you hit 72, you no longer have to pay school tax. kind of messed up really as it is the highest tax on your house. so, Yeah I am all for no taxes after 65. I paid that shit since 1971 and I tried of it.

For over 20 years my PA property and school taxes on 2 acres of land and a house were around $10,000 per year. After moving to Colorado in 2017, my property taxes on FIVE acres were $2,000 per year.
